History
Established in 1980, the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) is a not-for-profit incorporated association dedicated to serving the facility management profession. IFMA strives to enhance the recognition and integrity of the profession, while providing facility professionals with the services and information they need to advance their careers.
The Orange County Chapter was established in 1984 with 35 members. In 1993 we crossed the threshold with a membership of 200 to become designated as a large chapter. Current membership is close to 300.
In 1996 the Chapter was awarded the prestigious International Chapter of the Year Award. Other awards include:
