IFMA World Work Place
IFMA WORLD WORKPLACE 2012
WWP UPDATE: All Chapter members attending WWP are invited to a Chapter meet and greet coffee get together on Wednesday October 31st from 8-9:30am at the cafe located at the street level main entrance of the HBG Convention Center. Chapter pins will be distributed at that time and information on the West Coast Reception. If you would like to buy a Chapter polo shirt of if you have questions regarding WWP you can email (click here) or call Dick Currier at 714-240-3471.
Most of us go to World Workplace for the great educational sessions, networking and window-shopping on the Expo floor. These are all valid reasons (and worth the expense in themselves!) However, there are special meetings throughout the days and even extra-curricular evening activities available to those hardy enough or willing to extend their day after long hours of learning. So here is a (partial...we don't know everything!) list of events transpiring throughout the week in San Antonio some of which youmay want to drag yourselves, just for the fun of it.

World Workplace 2012 will be held in San Antonio, Texas. It's a great city with a lot of history. This will be the place to be in October. Through a quirk in scheduling, WWP will held later than normal this year at the end of the month. This means the Welcome Reception will be held on Halloween. . . .want to bet costumes will be involved? Maybe the Chapter can come up with a group theme for those of us attending. All we need are some ideas and some sponsors!

Heather Gantner has been nominated for the Emerging Leader Award in the Awards of Excellence at World Workplace this year. Even thoughHeather has an exemplary submission for all the work she has done for the Chapter, a little luck wouldn't hurt her chances. Let's all wish Heather the best for this notable award.

Your members will benefit greatly from the experience, acquiring knowledge and contacts essential to managing high-performance facilities and teams.

If you play a role in assessing, planning, designing, implementing and supporting workplace programs that directly impact the bottom line, then you have a lot to gain from a three-day investment in World Workplace.
What is the ROI?
Real-world education: Take away useful, field-tested information from world-class topic experts. Build skills to endure the test of time, not just get you through the latest trend.
Powerful networking: Exchange information with others who have dealt with similar workplace problems. Share notes, experiences and lessons learned. Brainstorm solutions.
First-class exposition: Discover clever, cost-effective solutions from the most reputable and innovative providers in the industry. Introduce better products and practices in your workplace.
What is the "youniversal facility management experience?"
IFMA's World Workplace is not just a conference...
- It's a career-altering experience, focused on you—what you need in order to manage and maintain the workplace; plan and direct workplace programs; and become a more effective leader.
- It's a holistic knowledge- and skill-building experience, addressing challenges that are universal to your profession; and issues and strategies universal to every facility type, shape and size.
- It's an essential part of your ongoing professional development—the premier learning and networking event for those responsible for the safety, well-being and longevity of the built environment.
